FAQ

Straight answers about price, timing, ownership, and how we work together. Everything is in writing and nothing is hidden.

How much does a custom website cost?

Your price depends on what you choose. A home page is $650 and includes up to 5 sections. Each additional page is $250 (also up to 5 sections), and each section beyond five on a page is $60. An online store module is from $250 and a bookings module is from $200.

Use Build and Price to choose your pages and sections and see your total before you talk to anyone. Perth Web Craft is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged. Anything outside what you select is quoted individually, in writing, before any work begins.

What is included in the price?

Every project includes brand essentials (a logo refresh, banners, and icons), the setup of your domain, hosting, and email under your own account, a Terms and Conditions page, a Privacy Policy page, thank-you and page-not-found pages, basic search setup, a mobile-friendly layout, a favicon, and a handover and walkthrough.

Are domain, hosting, and email fees included?

The setup is included in your price. We register and configure your domain, hosting, and business email under your own account at no extra charge.

The fees charged by those providers, such as domain registration and hosting or email subscriptions, are paid by you directly to the provider. We do not mark them up or re-bill them, and they are not part of our price.

How long does a project take?

Most projects take 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how complex the website is. The timeline for your project is set out in your contract, so you know what to expect and when. Everything is transparent.

What happens after I send a quote?

A fixed quote follows within two business days, written down and valid for 30 days. If you agree to it, we arrange a meeting to go over the details, and then we start building.

How do meetings work?

Once you have agreed to your quote, we arrange a meeting to go over the details before work begins. It can be face to face or by video call, depending on what we agree and what suits the situation.

How does payment work?

Projects are paid in the stages set out in your Scope of Work, typically a deposit before work begins and a balance before launch. Invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date.

Who owns my website, domain, and hosting?

On full payment, you own the final website, its content, and its design. Your domain, hosting, and business email are set up under your own account, so you stay in full control. You pay those providers directly, and we do not mark up or re-bill their fees. We may show completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Do I have to buy a maintenance plan?

No. A Care or Care+ plan ($89 or $179 a month) is optional. If you are confident running your own website, we hand it over and explain everything you need, such as updating products and sections, before we leave you to it. You are welcome to call on us again later, and any work is quoted first.

What if I want changes?

Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds, stated in your Scope of Work. Further changes, or work outside the original scope, are quoted separately and confirmed in writing before we begin.

Can I cancel?

Either party may end a project before completion by giving 14 days' written notice, on the terms in your Scope of Work. A maintenance plan can be cancelled at any time with 30 days' notice, and we refund any unused days in a billing cycle you have already paid for.

Do you only work with businesses in Perth?

No. We are based in Western Australia and work with businesses across Australia, whether you are starting out, growing, or well established.
