Terms and Conditions

These terms govern the general relationship between Perth Web Craft and its clients. A signed Scope of Work is still required for each individual project and takes precedence over this page where the two differ.

1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Perth Web Craft (ABN 12 267 442 077) to its clients. By engaging Perth Web Craft for a project, the client agrees to these terms together with the Scope of Work signed for that project.

2. Quotes and pricing

All projects are quoted as a fixed price before work begins. A quote remains valid for 30 days from the date it is issued. The agreed price does not change once work has started, except where the client requests work beyond the agreed scope, which is handled as a change request under clause 3. Perth Web Craft is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged and prices are the full amount payable.

3. Changes and revisions

Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds, stated in the Scope of Work. Further changes, or work outside the original scope, are quoted separately and confirmed in writing before being carried out. Perth Web Craft does not bill by the hour for client work; every piece of work is quoted as a fixed amount in advance.

4. Payment

Projects are paid in the stages set out in the Scope of Work, typically a deposit before work begins and a balance before launch. Invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date. A website is not published to a live domain until payment in full has been received.

5. Ownership

On full payment, the client owns the final website, its content, and its design. Perth Web Craft retains the right to display completed work in its own portfolio unless the client requests otherwise in writing. Domains, hosting accounts, and email services remain registered in the client's own name at all times, and the fees charged by those providers are paid by the client directly to the provider.

6. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep any non-public information shared during a project confidential, including business information, login credentials, and unreleased content, and to use it only for the purpose of that project. This obligation continues after a project is completed.

7. Limitation of liability

Perth Web Craft carries out all work with reasonable care and skill but does not guarantee that a website, or any third-party service it depends on, will operate without interruption. To the extent permitted by law, Perth Web Craft's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by the client for the project in question, and Perth Web Craft is not liable for indirect loss such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Ending an agreement

Either party may end a project agreement before completion by giving 14 days' written notice, on the terms set out in the relevant Scope of Work.
